What Is the Canadian
Dental Care Plan (CDCP)?
The CDCP is a federal government program designed to reduce financial barriers to oral health care.
It helps cover the cost of essential dental treatments for Canadian residents who qualify based on income lack of access to private dental insurance.
The goal of the CDCP is to ensure more Canadians can achieve and maintain good oral health for little to no cost.

Applying for the CDCP
Applications for the CDCP are now open to all ages!
First, confirm you meet the requirements, then apply online through the official CDCP application portal on Canada.ca.
Eligibility Requirements:
Be a Canadian resident for tax purposes
Have filed your tax return for the previous year
Have an adjusted family net income below $90,000
Not have access to any other dental insurance
After You Apply and Get Approved
Service Canada will confirm your eligibility.
Sun Life, the plan administrator, will enroll you and send a Welcome Package within about three months. This includes your member card and coverage start date.
Once you receive your Welcome Package and your coverage is active, book your appointment at Midtown Dental Studio on Eglinton!
