Properly aligned teeth not only give you a beautiful smile, but they can significantly improve your overall dental health.
(416) 481-7887Dr. Robin Kutner and Dr. Laurel Linetsky-Fleisher will not have to numb your mouth to place dental sealants. There isn’t any drilling or difficult procedures used in the process. There are three basic steps to getting sealants.
The dental hygienist will make sure the teeth getting sealed is clean and polished. Once the tooth is free of food and debris, it will be dried off. Once it is dry enough, the dental professional will etch its surface and then rinse and dry the tooth.
Once the tooth is dry, the dental assistant will apply the sealant on the surface of the tooth using a brush. Then they will use a special “self-curing” light to help the sealant bond well to the tooth’s surface.
Once the process is done, the hygienist and Dr. Robin Kutner and Dr. Laurel Linetsky-Fleisher will look at the sealant to ensure it has been applied properly and is sticking to the tooth correctly. After the sealant has dried correctly it will be hard and you’ll be able to chew normally again.
It’s a simple process and will only take a few minutes at one dental appointment.
